Apex Legends Season 21: Balance Update Shakes Up the Meta

Looking to shake things up in your Apex Legends account? Season 21: Upheaval is here, bringing a wave of balance changes and a brand new Legend, Alter, to the fray. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a fresh recruit, this season promises to spice up your gameplay with significant adjustments to the abilities of your favorite Legends.

New Legend: Alter

While details surrounding Alter's lore remain shrouded in mystery, their arrival in the Apex Games is sure to be a game-changer. With unique abilities that are yet to be revealed, Alter promises to introduce a fresh dynamic to team compositions and strategies.

Legend Meta Gets a Makeover

Season 21 isn't just about the new faces. Respawn Entertainment is addressing community feedback by implementing a suite of buffs and nerfs designed to create a more balanced and engaging experience for all players.

Crypto Recon Drones Get a Boost

Crypto mains, rejoice! Your intel-gathering capabilities have been significantly enhanced. The Network Traffic upgrade is now part of Crypto's base kit, allowing you to see how many enemy squads are nearby without deploying your drone. Additionally, cooldown times for both your tactical and ultimate abilities have been revamped, making Crypto a more proactive force on the battlefield.

Newcastle Gets Fortified

Newcastle, the defensive powerhouse, has received some well-deserved improvements. His Mobile Shield throws out much faster, allowing for quicker reactions in the heat of battle.  Newcastle's Castle Wall also gets a buff, destroying incoming projectiles during its initial energized phase, providing much-needed protection for your team.

Ash Gets More Aggressive

The tactical genius, Ash, is now more versatile than ever. Her Arc Snare can now be cast with her offhand, letting you throw out the snare while still firing your weapon. This seemingly minor change opens doors for more aggressive plays and uninterrupted damage dealing.

Bloodhound's Beast of the Hunt Gets Tweaks

Bloodhound's ultimate, Beast of the Hunt, has seen a slight cooldown increase, but the trade-off comes with some interesting benefits. The Level 3 upgrade, Long Hunt, extends the duration of your ultimate with each successful knock, making Bloodhound a relentless tracker in the late game.

Caustic's Gas Gets Rebalanced

Caustic's Nox Gas has been adjusted to provide a more strategic use case. The damage now ramps up over time, allowing for more calculated plays. Additionally, Caustic's gas no longer lingers after his squad is eliminated, preventing unnecessary post-death punishment.

Wattson Gets a Pylon Power Boost

Wattson's Pylons are no longer throwing welcome-home Arc Stars after your squad is eliminated. This, coupled with the removal of the penalty to shield regeneration, makes Wattson a more reliable defensive pick for your team.

These are just a few of the many Legend adjustments in Season 21. With a new Legend to master and a revamped meta to explore, Apex Legends: Upheaval promises a season of exciting challenges and strategic depth.
